Our timber single or back doors come in a range of different styles and designs. They are often simpler than our entrance doors, with an understated aesthetic. They also usually feature more glass than our entrance doors which allows extra light into utility areas and kitchens.
Can back doors open outwards?
Our timber back doors can be made to open inwards or outwards. If space is a premium inside, it can be beneficial to have the door opening outwards.
Security second to none
When it comes to security, our back doors can’t be beaten. They meet the requirements of PAS-24 and are Secured by Design. With multi-point locking, cylinder locks and a choice of standard or auto locking. With only one handle located on the internal facing side for the auto-locking system, the multi-point locks are automatically triggered when the door is shut which means this system is perfect for those timber back doors that open onto a public or communal area.
Choice of colours, stains and hardware
We offer a wide range of standard paint and stain colours from bright and bold to subtle pastels and classic whites and creams. Our colour mixing service means we can also match to all leading manufacturers’ paint colours. Our environmentally friendly paints and stains are also water based, breathable and guaranteed for 10 years.
When it comes to choosing hardware, we offer both traditional and contemporary styles in a range of finishes.
Etched, obscured or stained glass
If your back door is overlooked you might like to consider etched or obscure glass. We also offer stained glass if you are looking for a traditional aesthetic. With single, double or triple glazing to choose from, you can get the highest thermal and acoustic performance too.
Back doors with catflaps
If you have a cat or small dog and you would like to give them access into and out of the building, we can even supply and fit a catflap for you!
