As part of its commitment to supporting architects with their continuing professional development, George Barnsdale has launched its latest CPD webinar on the The Future Homes and Buildings Standard 2025.

The CPD webinar, which takes place on 22nd May at 11am, aims to support architects with their glazing specifications to ensure they are fit for purpose and ready for the new regulations coming into force next year.

Stephen Wright, Chairman of George Barnsdale will be joined by Rob Page from Safeguard Glazing to provide their assessment of the likely outcomes of the Government’s industry consultation which closed at the end of March.

In addition to this, there is a review of current building regulations and guidance on the various glazing methods available to meet the requirements of future new build projects. More broadly, the CPD presentation will also cover retrofit, conservation and listed properties as well as a looking at specialist glazing and coatings.

Commenting, Stephen Wright said “I am really looking forward to this CPD event, glass is an area that is so broad and has such an impact on the performance of windows and doors. With our experience alongside Rob’s, I think we are well placed to give attendees some really useful insight.”

There will also be an opportunity for participants to ask questions at the end of the presentation in the usual Q&A section.

Whilst the event is aimed at architects and specifiers, it is also relevant to developers, contractors, surveyors and planning officers. Sign up for the event is here.
