The next CPD from George Barnsdale has been announced, the latest webinar will be “The Future of Conserving the Past – how to sustainably specify timber windows & doors for conservation projects” and will take place on 7th April at 1pm.
Aimed at professionals working in the built environment, the event considers two sides of the conservation coin – balancing the environmental impact of inefficient historic properties with the need to protect the integrity of the building for future generations. Current planning laws try to incorporate ways to achieve net zero whilst, on the other hand hampering us in bringing old buildings up to modern, sustainable standards. The session will look at ways in which clever design and use of modern techniques can help architects and developers find a better balance.
