Investment in research, development and testing has enabled us to achieve the very highest levels in thermal, weatherproof, security and acoustic performance, in a range of products that have been sourced and manufactured in a sustainable way.

Design

All our windows and doors are internally beaded for high security performance and long life. Our products can be manufactured with double and triple gaskets for class leading weather performance. Our range of traditional designs enables us to match existing period features and we also have a specialist range for listed buildings (our Historic Range) and modern buildings (our Contemporary Range). Our designs are fully tested by UKAS approved third party test houses.

Timber

All of our windows and doors are manufactured from high quality engineered timber providing excellent durability and stability characteristics. We manufacture our products from a range of redwoods and hardwoods, all of which are sustainably sourced through FSC certification schemes.

Paint

Our cutting edge robotic paint facility allows for the precise control of paint application. Our advanced coating system provides maximum protection whilst allowing the timber to breathe and ensuring that the characteristics of the timber are visible. This allows us to give a 10 year paint guarantee with no redecoration required (a 25 year guarantee may also be available, please contact us for details).

Glass

We use high performance glazing with Saint Gobain Planitherm Total+, argon fill and warm edge spacer as standard. We offer many glazing options including security, safety, acoustic, thermal, solar gain/reduction, obscure patterns, triple glazed units and slim units including Pilkington Legacy and Histoglass. Our glazing units are internally beaded, drained and vented for improved performance and long life. The glazing units are tested to BS EN 1279 and supplied with a 10 year guarantee (excluding some narrow cavity glazing unit options).

Fittings

All of our windows and doors are supplied with high quality fittings as standard with a wide range of colour and style options. Our products meet BS7950/PAS 23/24 requirements where applicable and all the fittings are covered by a 5 year guarantee.

Thermal

Our window and door designs are optimised through thermal modelling using our in-house BFRC simulator. We were the first company in the UK to manufacture an A rated timber window, and now this option is available on our windows. The window U-value and Window Energy Rating is displayed on all quotations and windows with U-values less than 1 W/m²K available on most products. A Passivhaus window option is now available.

Wind / Water

Double or triple seals around the window provide excellent weather sealing. Investment in research, development and testing has resulted in the optimisation of our designs. Extensive test data is available to validate product performance.

Acoustic

Draught seals and advanced glazing provides excellent noise reduction as standard. Our acoustic glass range can provide further improvements if required (a range of test data in accordance to BS EN ISO 717-1 is available).

Security

High quality security fittings are supplied as standard. Increased security specification is available if required. Our windows can be manufactured to achieve BS EN ISO 7950 (requirement for Secure By Design) if required and our doors can be manufactured to PAS 23/24 if required.
