Red Roof Barn is an attractive property in a much sought after area of Wareham with stunning views across the Dorset countryside in an area of outstanding beauty. In order to retain the character of the property the homeowners opted for stunning timber sliding sash windows and flush casements from George Barnsdale’s Traditional range. Manufactured in Engineered Redwood, the windows are finished in a stunning Pebble Grey finish with Satin Chrome hardware. Rather than cord and pulleys, the sash windows operate on a spiral balance system which has the mechanism concealed in the frame; this allows for a narrower frame profile and more daylight to come into the room. The wooden casements are from our regency mock sash range and incorporate a 59mm sash bar to enable them to replicate the sliding sashes in the rest of the property. This is often an option that is chosen where the opening is fairly small and deemed to be better for optimising light with smaller frames.
